Hi everyone, summer’s here! Couldn’t be happier. The cold just doesn’t agree with me.

So what’s my new favorites?
Well there are few new products that you can use to draw that eyebrow faster. I know some of you don’t mark or design a brow ahead of time and I certainly have measured and drawn brows for the last 25 yrs. But to seriously save some time I think that a brow stencil will cut you time way down. It is usually the drawing time that takes so much long. You have the client saying no I don’t like that and an hour later she is still saying something looks wrong. Some brows when made too small come back thin lines, which then becomes a problem to resize. So I am using the Lysette Brow Kit and getting really great results with the stencil.
Also I am loving the Boca Brow Tool which comes with a DVD to see exactly how it works.

I teach beginners and to know they have these tools is really a great comfort. So even tho’ you have done PMU for a long time there are always new ways to achieve great brows. So whether you teach or just do a lot of brows these Lysette Brow Stencils are the best stencils I have ever used. The new Brow Buddy is also awesome and will show you a brand new way to draw on your brows.

NumFast is a new cream to use on eyes for really long lasting numbing. You can usually make 2 passes on each eye very comfortably then use the tag 45 gel. Numfast won’t sting the eyes. The timing is 15 min and you can leave it set on the eye your not working on. I usually wipe cream numbing off with a baby (soft) wipe and then Kleenex and then a Q-til to get inbetween the lashes and then wipe the eyes (closed) with an alcohol prep pad to make sure there is no cream left. If you clean the cream off in this manner you will never work hard with your first pass. If there is cream left in the skin you can be sure your first pass over the cream residue will not be effective. Microcaine works equally as well, same timing and also does not sting the eye.

I will take a minute to say that the Tattoo Law in Florida is going to change. I think it will come into affect as of January 2012. According to the new law we will be under the Health Dept only. Not sure whether this is great or not. Once in place we may have an inspection and get licensed under the Dept of Health. Once I get more update I will let you know.

Summer is always a slow time, vacations , kids out of school, people going up north and so we have to adjust to the income change. Now is a good time to take classes or spruce up your work place, get new ideas for the coming season. So get yourself ready for the busy season and find ways to get to the client base you want. Have a little seminar, call the Cancer Society to find out info and get your name out there for doing reconstructive pigmentation. There are DVDs to watch if you can’t get to a class. Just GOOGLE and you can find anything you want.
